Pastor Glen & Lauri Egertson
Executive Directors, LRCC

Glen and Lauri are the proud parents of four children and three grandchildren. Glen is a third generation Lutheran pastor. Before being ordained, he worked as a janitor, carpenter and psychotherapist. He is a graduate of the Lutheran Bible Institute in California, California Lutheran University (twice) and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary. Lauri was raised in San Diego, CA and was confirmed in the Catholic Church before becoming a Lutheran. After completing a program in Nursing, she worked as an Optician and Office Manager for several doctors while raising her family. She enjoys reading just about anything, being outside in the mountains and working on the farm. Glen enjoys woodworking and watching old movies.


Jan Garris
Chief Financial Officer, LRCC


Jan graduated from California Lutheran College (now University) with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and became a CPA in the early 80s.  After serving her dues in public accounting she joined World Vision where she spent five years as Accounting and Budget Manager.  Jan took a few years off to be a full time mother. She currently serves as Director of Finance and Administration at Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church and School in West Hills, CA as well as LRCC's CFO. Jan is married and has two grown sons.


Pastor Wesley Menke
Camp Director, El Camino Pines

Wesley feels blessed to serve at El Camino Pines and for LRCC. He is married to Sheri; they first met as camp counselors for LRCC in the summer of 2000. They now have five kids which keep them super busy! Wesley’s first call was to a bilingual congregational ministry (Spanish/English) in Santa Ana, California. He earned joint MDiv/MA degrees from Claremont School of Theology and Pacific Lutheran Theological Seminary writing a thesis on “Youtheology.” He was born and raised in Sedona, Arizona and is an alum of Northern Arizona University. Wesley is a lifelong learner who prefers to listen to books on the go.


Nathan Maxwell-Doherty
Camp Director, Luther Glen

Nate graduated from California Lutheran University in 2012 with a B.A. in Art and a minor in Religion. He has a passion for the creative arts, music and his Lutheran heritage. He is excited to bring spiritual depth and his sense of humor to his work. Nate loves to make people laugh and will share his joy and appreciation for creation with all campers.


Anthony Eder
Director of Outreach, LRCC

Anthony recently returned to LRCC as our Director of Outreach, and Social Media Coordinator. He served three years as an Outdoor School Instructor after spending two years traveling the country with a Lutheran music team. Anthony sets the rhythm for our camps. Affectionately known as the Coordinator of Joy, he loves music, spontaneous dance parties, making new friends and spending time with old friends.


Melanie Cornejo
Administrative Assistant, LRCC

Melanie is a California native, an avid coffee drinker and a poet. She graduated in 2012 with a B.A. in English from California Lutheran University. Her passions are rooted in environmental education and creating positive communities for youth, both of which she thinks LRCC excels at.


Outdoor School Program Director, El Camino Pines

Drew grew up in San Diego, CA. In college, he majored in Political Science and Philosophy. He spent 3 years teaching High School English in Milwaukee, WI. He has a passion for simplicity and sustainability, and is delighted to return to his California roots to join the Outdoor School Staff. Drew enjoys being outside, playing sports, and engaging others in meaningful conversation. Most days, he can be found hiking or playing with MJ, ECP's resident feline.


Austin Potts
Outdoor School Program Director, El Camino Pines

Austin is an old LRCC staff member returning from adventures across the country hoping to shake things up at camp once again. During his hiatus, he worked in the midwest guiding canoe trips through the Boundary Water Canoe Area Wilderness and facilitated programs at a high ropes course. Austin served as an Outdoor School Instructor for three years and is excited to share all he has learned with the new community here at camp. He has an itch for the outdoors and loves the opportunity to explore the forest. Whether on foot or snowboard, Austin wants to be outside.


Callie Biel
Office Assistant, LRCC

Callie comes from Long Beach, CA. She went to school for child development and to study liberal arts with an emphasis on social behavior. While in Long Beach she spent time working for the Long Beach Unified School District as a Recreation Aide for a before and after school program and her church's preschool. Through this, she found her passion for working with kids in a school setting especially in special education classes. Callie is happy to be at camp where she can pair her love for ministry with her desire to teach.
