Take a Hike

Your church decides to host a “Take a Hike”. You get hikers/walkers to find sponsors to donate any given amount for their willingness to “take a hike” for our Lutheran camping programs. We have a checklist for you to use as a guideline in your planning, we have flyers, bulletin inserts, etc… below to help with your publicity needs. Contact us to help customize the flyers and publicity for your specific event's needs. Please allow two weeks.

Announcement for newsletter/publicity - Take a Hike is a fun day of hiking together, here in our community in support of camp (El Camino Pines and Yolijwa). We are hosting a Take a Hike and hope you’ll join or support us! This is a fundraiser to partner with LRCC to bridge the gap between what camp charges and what it really costs. You can be a hiker, volunteer, a sponsor or all three!

HIKERS: Sign up to hike, get a pledge sheet and find sponsors that will support you financially to hike.

VOLUNTEERS: Contact _____(fill in)____ to help out ahead of time or on the day of the hike! We need your gifts to make this happen!

SPONSORS: Find a hiker to support, they’ll be looking for you too! Contact __(fill in)__ if you’d like to sponsor a hiker but can’t find one. We’ll connect you with one.
