Get away for the long weekend with a family trip to El Camino Pines Memorial Day Family Camp! 

 This year we welcome Pastor Stephanie Jaeger of Mt. Olive Lutheran Church in Santa Monica as our speaker.  Stephanie enjoys sharing the spiritual disciplines that sustain her--meditative prayer, scripture study, creativity and service--with other people of faith.   Following a career as a professor Hayes family backpackingof German Studies, Stephanie prepared for ministry, graduating from the Lutheran School of Theology in Chicago.  She was ordained in August 2007.  Her joy is her family; her husband Stephen, daughters Hannah and Zoe, and dogs Lady and Max who all love spending time at El Camino Pines (but they promise to leave the dogs at home for Family Camp).

Our theme for the weekend is “Time Out: Centering in God”.  This weekend we will take a "time out" of our regular busy lives as laborers and volunteers and parents and grandparents and practice centering our selves and our lives in God. Sessions will include "Centering in God in Prayer," "Centering in God in Creation," "Centering in God in Scripture," and "Centering in God in Service." 

A great weekend for all ages! We are planning lots of fun activities, with your traditional camp favorites and some new surprises. Come with your whole family, or come alone and meet some new friends! Children will have their own activities led by the El Camino Pines staff. Enjoy a weekend of family, fun and fellowship! 

The retreat begins Saturday, May 26, with registration at 11:00 followed by lunch at noon. The retreat ends on Monday, May 28, after worship and an early lunch.  We are hoping to see you all for another great family camp.
