Summer 2011 Programs

A variety of fun and fantastic programs are awaiting youth grades 1-12.  Each camp is a week-long experience that includes games, worship, crafts, swimming, campfires, Bible Study, hiking and more.  These camps are hosted at two different sites (El Camino Pines and Yolijwa) in Southern California.  There are also two sites for Beach Camp,  Day Camp (we bring the program and staff to you!) and one off site program Adventure Camp (White Water Rafting/Backpacking).  Everything needed to plan for summer camp can be found here.  Please contact our staff if you have any questions on registration or our programs.   

2011 Summer Programs (document with the information that follows below.)

Grade Levels: A campers grade level for summer camp is the grade he/she is in for Fall 2011.

Explorers (grades 2 – 4) Cost: $365, mini week is $275Trinity, Ventura Day Camp 2007

This is specifically designed with our youngest campers in mind and is the perfect introduction to the summer camp experience.  Explorers will grow in self confidence through this short stay away from home.  Explorers join the entire camp community for worship, meals and campfires, but enjoy their own counselors, games and Bible stories.  Explorers have the option of staying for a mini week and leaving camp on Wed. or staying the full week and leaving on Friday.  

 

Pioneers (grades 4 - 6) Cost: $365

Our most popular program!  Caring counselors make this a week of fun, friends, faith stories and so much more.   A great place to make new friends, to learn about yourself and God’s beautiful creation.   

 

Discoverers (grades 6 - 8) Cost: $365

Grow in faith and friendship with all the best that camp has to offer.  Favorite camp activities include theme meals, overnight campout, all camp games, a late night swim, arts and crafts and campfires.  This is a great age to dig deeper into questions of faith and life – just what camp is for! 
 

Confirmation Camp, Cost: $365Yolijwa Confirmation Camp 2008

Christian community comes alive at Confirmation camp!  Pastors, youth workers, camp staff and Confirmands come together for a week of study and goofing around in the great outdoors.  The most fun you’ll ever have with your pastor – guaranteed!   To attend this event you need to come with your church.  Check with your pastor on how to register. 

 

Beach Camp (grades 6 - 12) Cost: $415               

The sun, the surf and the sand.  You get it all at Beach Camp.  Sleep at a local church, walk to the beach daily, hang out on the turf or in the surf and have all of the traditional camp stuff (campfires, worship, Bible Studies, silly songs and great camp food). Beach camp ends on Friday.

Adventure Camp (grades 9 - 12) Cost: $450, July 17 - 22, 2011

Teen Camp (campers currently in grades 9 - 12) Cost: $365
No summer is complete without a week at camp in the mountains!  Lively Bible studies, in depth discussions on life and faith, meaningful worship, the annual tug o’ war over a mud pit, overnight hike, day trip to a water park and so much more!

 

SIT – Staff In Training Program (ages 16 and 17 years old), $250 for four weeks (July 9 - August 6)
 
Staff In Training is an exciting camp leadership program designed for 16 and 17 year olds who want to learn the ins and outs of working at camp.  SIT’s will learn how to work alongside counselors and cabin groups and how to lead camp activities like Bible study, worship, and all-camp games, as well as being trained in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding skills. SIT’s grow weekly in responsibility, have their own training schedule and devotions, learn how to share their faith, become leaders for their peers, and make friends they’ll never forget!  There will be travel for the SIT’s between our sites, this will be provided by our camp staff.  This program costs $250 for four weeks and by application and interview only.  S.I.T.’s are not a paid staff position.  Download a Staff In Training application here.  2 references are needed as well, download it here.  Space is limited so apply early.  More information on the SIT program.
 
The SIT program is from July 9 - August 6, 2011, and a commitment is required for the entire time.  

 

Day Camp (campers in Kindergarten - 6th grade)  Cost: $89/camper

Our Day Camp program is designed to meet the needs of all sizes of congregations.  Our staff can put together a week of Vacation Bible School or can provide additional summer programming in order to enhance your current ministries. 

Day Camp can be a way to reach into your congregation or out to your community.  You pick the date, do the publicity and we do the rest!  We provide the curriculum, crafts, games, songs, fun, and even the supplies! You provide housing for our Day Camp staff and the volunteers to help make it a week of faith-based fun!
